§ 01
These Terms & Conditions govern every order placed with Salute Translations SAS, registered at 4 Imp. Jules Rousseau, 94340 Joinville-le-Pont, France (SIREN 918 472 305), whether placed through the online checkout or agreed by quote. By placing an order, you accept these terms.
§ 02
We provide certified and sworn translation, legal translation, business and financial translation, technical translation, medical and life-sciences translation, marketing and transcreation, digital and multimedia localization, and interpreting, together with related add-ons (proofreading, apostille and légalisation handling, extra certified copies, sworn declarations), as described on each service page and priced on our Pricing page.
§ 03
Prices shown on this site are ex-VAT unless stated otherwise; VAT (20%, French standard rate) is added at checkout. The minimum order value is €39.00 ex-VAT. Prices are calculated per page (250 source words), per minute (subtitling) or per session (interpreting), as shown against each service; the final price is confirmed once we’ve reviewed your actual document or session requirements, and you’ll see the confirmed price before you pay.
§ 04
As a consumer in the EU, you generally have 14 days from your order to withdraw without giving a reason. Because most of our services begin as soon as you place your order — so that we can meet the delivery date you’ve been quoted — you will be asked, at checkout, to expressly request that we begin work immediately and to acknowledge that doing so waives your right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed, and reduces it proportionately if work is underway but not complete. If you cancel before we’ve started work, you’re entitled to a full refund — see our Refund & Cancellation Policy for exactly how this applies once work has begun.
§ 05
Standard turnaround times are stated on each service page and confirmed at the time of your order; Priority and Urgent options are available on most translation services for an additional fee. Turnaround begins once we’ve confirmed we have everything we need from you (a legible source document, any required details) — not from the moment you place the order. Digital delivery is included with every order; postal delivery (for stamped originals) is available at checkout for an additional fee and estimated delivery window.
§ 06
At launch, this website’s checkout runs a demonstration payment step: no card details are collected and no payment is taken through the site. You can choose to pay by bank transfer, in which case we send an invoice and bank details on order confirmation, and your order is confirmed once payment is received. We will update these terms and the checkout itself when live card payment is introduced.
§ 07
You’re responsible for: providing a legible copy of the document(s) to be translated; telling us the intended use of the translation (so we can confirm the right format — see our Sworn vs certified guide if you’re not sure); providing accurate contact and delivery details; and reviewing the delivered translation within 14 days and telling us promptly about any issue.
§ 08
We commit to: confirming scope and price within 4 business hours of receiving your document; delivering by the turnaround confirmed at order; a free revision within 14 days of delivery if you identify an error; and redoing the work at our cost if a document is rejected by the receiving authority for a formatting reason we didn’t flag in advance. Our liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount paid for that order, except where French law does not permit such a limitation (for example, in cases of gross negligence or wilful misconduct).
§ 09
Documents you send us remain your property; we don’t use them for any purpose beyond producing your translation, per our Privacy Policy. The translated document is yours to use on delivery and full payment. We may, without naming you or your document, refer to the fact that we’ve worked in a particular field or language pair for general marketing purposes, but never to the content of your document.
§ 10
These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute that can’t be resolved directly will be submitted to the courts of Créteil, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under French or EU law, including the right to use consumer mediation. Details of our consumer mediation body are available on request from support@salutetranslations.com.
§ 11
